Due to a general lack of happy-geeky Lain walls I chose this image to vector. This was hands-down the most complicated vector to date. For starters, Lain is an aging series so there was no high-res Blu Ray rips or anything available. Just the grainy low res quality. A lot of detail had to be added to make it workable.

For starters, Lain's father is in this shot with his back to the camera. He had to go so I needed an alternate reference for the stacked computers. Lain's head was also lacking a lot of detail so I needed 2 more alternate references; one for her head and one for her hair. I also had references for the pipes, the desk, her Navi... It was a complicated composite by the end.

I still had to hand draw certain details like her fingers, toes and her mouse. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the way it turned out. One of my favorites.
